programs focused on housing, community engagement, and neighborhood revitalization, 

CACDC works to build a stronger, healthier, and more equitable community.


Position Summary

• The Outreach Specialist will play a vital role in connecting residents, businesses, and 

community partners to CACDC programs and neighborhood improvement initiatives. 

Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Outreach Worker will conduct direct 

outreach, build relationships with residents, gather feedback, and help facilitate 

participation in CACDC’s community development efforts.


Key Responsibilities

• Conduct door-to-door and community-based outreach to engage residents and inform 

them of CACDC programs, services, and upcoming events.

• Assist in organizing and supporting community meetings, workshops, and neighborhood 

activities.

• Maintain accurate records of resident contacts, surveys, and participation data.

• Help identify community needs and relay feedback to the Program Coordinator to inform 

program planning and implementation.

• Distribute flyers, newsletters, and other informational materials throughout the 

neighborhood.

• Support data collection and reporting requirements for grant-funded programs.

• Build positive relationships with residents, local organizations, faith-based groups, and 

businesses to strengthen neighborhood collaboration.

• Represent CACDC at community events and public meetings as needed.


Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or relevant coursework in 

community development, human services, or a related field preferred.

• Prior experience in community outreach, organizing, or social services is strongly

preferred.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and listening skills.

• Knowledge of the Clay Arsenal neighborhood and its residents is a plus.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Reliable transportation and willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends as 

needed.

• Bilingual ability (English/Spanish) is highly desirable.


Compensation

• Compensation is commensurate with experience.
