Overview
Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and locally focused Community Engagement & Social Media Specialist to serve as the community outreach and social media point person for Mister Greenway in Memphis. This role will build meaningful relationships with employees, customers, and community partners while creating engaging content that strengthens Mister Greenway's local presence.
The ideal candidate is creative, strategic, and relationship-driven, with a passion for storytelling, community involvement, and brand advocacy. Working closely with marketing and operations, this individual will bring local stories, events, and partnerships to life in the community and across social channels. These efforts will increase brand visibility, strengthen engagement, and position Mister Greenway and its family of brands, as a trusted member of the community. This position reports to our Community Engagement Manager for the market area.
Key Responsibilities
  • Community & Employee Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison between our brands and their communities, identifying opportunities for engagement, partnerships, and employee involvement.
    • Initiate, plan, and attend community events to promote the brand, collect leads, and engage with attendees.
    • Build relationships with local schools, chambers, nonprofits, community leaders, and other organizations.
    • Coordinate employee volunteer activities, internal events, celebrations, holidays, and other engagement initiatives.
  • Social Media & Content Creation: Manage Mister Greenway and its family of brands' social media presence, creating engaging and locally relevant content that strengthens brand awareness and engagement.
    • Create and publish content across key social platforms while maintaining a consistent, authentic brand voice.
    • Capture photos, videos, employee and customer stories, and real-time content from events, field activities, and community initiatives.
  • Brand Representation: Establish a visual and digital presence in the community and always represent our brand in a positive and professional manner, embodying our core values and maintaining the highest ethical standards
  • Reporting & Budget Management: Oversee monthly and annual budgets and evaluate event feedback, social media performance and engagement to measure impact, identify key learnings, and inform future initiatives.
  • Collaboration & Coordination: Partner closely with marketing, operations, and the Social Media Specialist to align community and social media efforts with business goals and ensure consistent brand execution.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience representing a brand or organization in a positive and professional manner.
  • Experience with community outreach, events, networking, or relationship building preferred.
  • Comfortable using social media platforms to create, publish, and engage with locally relevant content.
  • Experience with creative tools to develop basic photo, video, and written content, with a willingness to learn new tools and best practices.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong local knowledge and understanding of the community.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to attend occasional evening and weekend events as needed.
