WORK YEAR: Full-time, 260 days per year; 5 hours per day; 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Monday-Friday; Some flexibility is

required to adjust the schedule or work additional hours as needed to provide coverage during staff absences, vacations, or department needs.

Job Summary:


Community Education is seeking an organized, customer-focused, and collaborative Enrichment Secretary to help create exceptional experiences for learners of all ages. As a first point of contact for our department, you'll create a welcoming and inclusive environment for participants, instructors, staff, and community members. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, pays close attention to detail, and takes pride in helping programs run smoothly.


Job Responsibilities: 

  • Provide exceptional customer service by welcoming and assisting participants, instructors, staff, and community members in person, by phone, and via email.
  • Process registrations, cancellations, transfers, and participant inquiries accurately and efficiently.
  • Support Community Education programs through administrative tasks, including data entry, scheduling, document preparation, proofreading, and database maintenance.
  • Collaborate with Program Coordinators to ensure programs run smoothly from registration through completion.
  • Prepare class rosters, reports, correspondence, and marketing materials while maintaining accurate and confidential records.
  • Coordinate instructor and classroom logistics, including schedules, materials, room setup, and program support.
  • Reconcile daily deposits and process financial transactions according to established procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the clerical team, adapt to changing priorities, and perform other duties as assigned.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent proofreading, editing, and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets) and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
