We are looking for a highly organized, energetic, self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced work environment and takes ownership in all aspects of their work. The successful candidate will possess outstanding customer service talents, multitasking and problem-solving skills, and the ability to react with appropriate levels of discretion and urgency to situations or events that require quick response and superb communication. This candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional service and hospitality to consistently exceed customer expectations, finding great satisfaction in helping to create a sense of community and solution-oriented with a positive attitude.

Objectives of this Role:

  • Responsible for planning, controlling, and directing the day-to-day operation of the property.
  • Maintaining effective and harmonious resident relations.
  • Manage the property in accordance with HUD and IRS program guidelines.
  • Meet the financial objectives of the ownership and management.
  • Responsible for ensuring the compliance requirements of the property are met.
  • Be responsive to all applicable government agency standards and requirements.
  • This role includes, but is not limited to, personnel training and management, leasing, collections, resident services, maintenance, budgeting, capital improvements, accurate reporting, and compliance with all applicable laws and company policies.
  • Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate to support property marketing strategies consistent with established procedures.
  • Assist in coordination and updates to advertisements and listings, especially via third-party Independent Listing Services (ILS).
  • Preparing materials for annual budgets and ongoing monitoring of cost center expenditures and forecasts, adhering to financial targets.
  • General support for the Investment Manager, and other duties as assigned.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience successfully managing more than one community.
  • Able to work well under pressure, is self-motivated, self-directed, and able to work with/without direct supervision.
  • Experience in managing multifamily affordable property.
  • Experience with HUD and/or tax credit programs.
  • Yardi management software experience.
  • The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Experience

  • At least 3 years of property management experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of HUD Multifamily Section 8 and/or Low-Income Housing Tax Credit experience
  • Minimum of 2 years managing 55 or more units
  • Knowledge of Yardi or similar housing software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise quick and accurate judgment and maintain confidentiality.
  • Effective conflict resolution and customer service skills.
  • Ability to set priorities and multi-task with a strong attention to detail.
