The Community Outreach Specialist serves as a front-facing ambassador for Employ Prince George's across Prince George's County and the DC Metro area. This position works closely with the Community Development team to expand awareness of EPG programs, services, and initiatives while supporting strategic outreach and engagement efforts.

Scope of Responsibilities
- Lead community outreach, partnership development, and engagement efforts across local government, nonprofits, civic groups, and faith-based organizations.
- Support the development and execution of grassroots outreach plans aligned with EPG programs, workshops, initiatives, and events.
- Coordinate and staff events, job fairs, and community activities; represent EPG at community meetings, events and public engagements.
- Manage outreach materials, displays, and supplies to support effective community presence.
- Build and maintain a master calendar for external and internal outreach activities.
- Develop presentations, media packets, and other communication tools in collaboration with internal teams.
- Support volunteer engagement, sponsorship activities, and EPG's events.
- Track outreach activities, event participation, and engagement outcomes using internal systems and reporting tools.
- Assist with strengthening and maintaining the Prince George's County American Job Center Community Network.
Selection Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Public Relations, Communications, or a related field is preferred; a combination of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills-comfortable presenting, connecting, and empowering job seekers.
- Experience in community engagement, human services, customer relations, marketing, or outreach-related roles.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of Prince George's County resources or workforce development systems is a plus.
- Social media savvy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Monday.com is helpful.
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift and transport outreach materials as needed.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends to support community events when required.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
