Job description

Physical Therapist (PT) – Clinic & Community-Based Services

Location: Springfield, MO
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Thursday
Pay: $37.50-50.00/hr with a $5,000 sign-on bonus available to new, full-time team members

The Arc of the Ozarks is hiring a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to support children and adults with developmental disabilities, medical needs, mobility challenges, and varying diagnoses across clinic and community settings.

This is a meaningful opportunity for a Physical Therapist who wants more than a traditional therapy role. You will help individuals improve mobility, strength, balance, confidence, independence, and participation in daily life while working alongside a collaborative interdisciplinary team.

What you’ll do

As a Physical Therapist with The Arc of the Ozarks, you will:

  • Complete physical therapy screenings, evaluations, and assessments
  • Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
  • Support clients with mobility, balance, gait, coordination, endurance, strength, and gross motor development
  • Recommend adaptive equipment, orthotics, positioning supports, and environmental modifications
  • Train caregivers, families, and team members on therapy recommendations
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support client goals
  • Provide services in clinic and community settings
  • Maintain timely documentation and complete chart reviews
  • Supervise therapy assistants, students, or interns when applicable
  • Travel locally between service locations as needed
What we’re looking for

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Doctorate or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy
  • Active Missouri Physical Therapist license in good standing
  • Strong communication, documentation, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team
  • A client-centered, ethical, and compassionate approach to care
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally

Experience with developmental disabilities, pediatrics, autism, neurological conditions, adaptive equipment, school-based therapy, or community-based services is helpful, but not required.
