Job description

Job Summary

The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating new business opportunities and expanding FBS Appliance's network of referral partners throughout Texas. This role focuses on identifying, prospecting, and converting cabinet dealers, kitchen and bath dealers, interior designers, architects, builders, remodelers, and other trade professionals who are not currently referring customers to FBS.

The successful candidate will serve as a market ambassador for FBS Appliance, developing strategic relationships that drive qualified customer referrals, revenue growth, and increased market share. This individual is also responsible for measuring and reporting the return on investment (ROI) of networking events, trade events, and business development activities through disciplined tracking of invitations, attendance, referrals, sales, and profitability.

Position Mission

Wake up every day with one objective: identify, engage, and convert new referral partners who drive profitable growth for FBS Appliance while creating measurable ROI from every business development activity and event.

Salary

$150,000.00 annually plus Bonus Opportunity

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Identify, prospect, and acquire new referral partners throughout FBS markets.
  • Develop relationships with cabinet dealers, kitchen and bath dealers, designers, architects, builders, remodelers, and developers. Cold calling will be one of the keys to success in this role.
  • Create and maintain an active pipeline of prospective referral accounts.
  • Conduct face-to-face sales calls, presentations, networking meetings, and partner visits.
  • Position FBS Appliance as the preferred luxury appliance resource for the design and construction community.
  • Collaborate with showroom teams to maximize referral conversion rates and customer experience.

Partner Relationship Management

  • Develop and implement account growth strategies for referral partners.
  • Maintain consistent communication with active and prospective partners.
  • Identify opportunities for joint marketing, events, educational programs, and strategic partnerships.

Event Management & ROI Measurement

  • Plan, coordinate, and participate in industry events, trade shows, showroom events, CEU programs, and networking functions with the in-market event coordinator from KIG marketing.
  • Track:

  • Monitor market trends and competitive activity within each FBS territory.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Existing contacts with designers, architects, builders and remodelers is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 5 years of successful business development, outside sales, account management, or relationship-building experience.
  • Proven track record of acquiring new business relationships and generating revenue growth.
  • Strong networking, prospecting, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to travel to Houston, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio regularly

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in luxury appliances, kitchen and bath, cabinetry, building products, interior design, construction, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success working with high-end residential customers and luxury brands.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience measuring marketing and event ROI.

  • Occasional evening and weekend attendance at company-sponsored events, customer functions, and networking activities may be required.
