Job description

The O'Connor Group is partnering with the team at Bringing Hope Home to find their next Development Manager.
The Development Manager will lead fundraising and relationship-building efforts in support of Bringing Hope Home's mission throughout the Baltimore region. This position is responsible for cultivating and stewarding corporate partners, foundations, community leaders, and individual donors while growing revenue and visibility for the annual Baltimore Hope Dinner held each March while building the BHH community in the Baltimore area. The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven fundraiser who thrives in community engagement, event fundraising, sponsorship development, and donor stewardship.
Corporate & Community Partnerships
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate sponsors and community partners
  • Work with BHH Marketing Manager to develop sponsorship packages and partnership proposals
  • Build relationships with Baltimore-area business leaders and philanthropic networks
  • Represent the organization at networking and community events

Individual Giving & Donor Stewardship
  • Manage relationships with individual donors and prospects
  • Coordinate donor meetings, cultivation events, and stewardship activities
  • Develop donor communications and impact reporting
  • Support moves management and major gift pipeline development

Foundation & Grant Support
  • Research prospective foundations and grant opportunities
  • Assist with proposal development and reporting
  • Maintain foundation relationship calendar and deadlines

Baltimore Hope Dinner
  • Lead fundraising strategy and sponsorship efforts for the annual March event
  • Recruit and support committee members, honorees, and ambassadors
  • Work with BHH Director of Signature Events to coordinate event fundraising timelines, sponsorship , fulfillment, and donor engagement
  • Partner with marketing staff on promotions and communications
  • Support future Baltimore events as needed

Development Operations
  • Maintain donor database and fundraising records
  • Generate fundraising reports and analytics
  • Assist with annual fundraising planning and campaign tracking
  • Support organizational development goals and strategic initiatives

Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3-7 years of nonprofit fundraising, business development, or relationship management experience
  • Experience with sponsorship sales, donor cultivation, or event fundraising
  • Familiarity with donor CRM systems such as Bloomerang
  • Existing Baltimore-area corporate and philanthropic relationships
  • Experience managing fundraising events or galas
  • Knowledge of healthcare, family support, or mission-driven nonprofit sectors
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Compassion, empathy and connection to the BHH mission a must
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong collaborator
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must be a self starter, with the ability to work 90% remotely

Schedule/Benefits
