Arbor Place, Inc. is excited to announce that we are now accepting applications for internship opportunities at our organization. This is a unique chance for aspiring professionals in substance use and mental health disorders to gain valuable experience and contribute to our mission.


The mission of Arbor Place, Inc. is to provide prevention, treatment, and renewal opportunities to individuals, families, and communities impacted by substance use and mental health disorders.


It is an important element of Arbor Place's mission to positively contribute to the prevention of substance use and mental health disorders in the communities we serve. We offer a range of services, including residential treatment, outpatient programs, prevention initiatives, and support services. Our dedicated team of professionals are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of those affected by substance use and mental health disorders.


Internship Details:

  • We are accepting internship applications for Fall.
  • Interns can be enrolled in associate's, bachelor's or master's degree program.
  • Interns will have the opportunity to complete rotations in various departments, including Residential Treatment, Residential Support, Outpatient, Prevention and Administration.
  • The rotations will provide exposure to different facets of substance use and mental health disorders and offer hands-on learning experiences.
  • Interns will work closely with experienced professionals, observe and engage in relevant tasks, and develop their skills in a supportive environment.

Intern Requirements:

  • Enrolled in an associate's, bachelor's or master's degree program related to human development, social work, substance use, mental health, psychology or related fields.
  • Strong interest in and commitment to the field of mental health and helping individuals and families affected by substance use and mental health disorders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
  • Contribute to a healthy workplace culture.

Important Information:

  • Internships at Arbor Place, Inc. are unpaid.
  • Interns must adhere to a set schedule approved by the organization throughout the internship period.
  • All internship positions are subject to a selection process, including interviews, and reference checks.
  • Selected interns will be required to sign an internship agreement outlining the terms and expectations, pass a Wisconsin Caregiver background check and submit urinalysis for drug screen due to the nature of services we provide.
