Position Summary
The Cage Shift Manager oversees the daily operations of the Casino Cage, safeguarding assets and ensuring compliance with all internal controls, company policies, and state gaming regulations. This position manages, directs, and supervises all cage operations, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions, adherence to procedures, and maintenance of an efficient, secure, and guest-focused work environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Safeguard company assets and maintain compliance with all monetary control policies.
  • Manage, direct, and supervise all Cage operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, gaming regulations, and federal laws governing monetary transactions.
  • Maintain control and inventory of currency, coins, checks, related forms, and documentation.
  • Implement and enforce gaming controls and internal policies in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Review and approve departmental reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Oversee recordkeeping and financial documentation within the Cage area.
  • Evaluate, train, and coach Cage team members to promote performance excellence.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and performance reviews for Cage personnel.
  • Maintain confidentiality of internal operations and financial data.
  • Support the Cage Manager in developing and maintaining department goals and initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Five (5) years of Cage experience, including at least two (2) years in a supervisory capacity
  • Strong knowledge of state gaming regulations related to casino operations
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Preferred:
  • Previous experience in a large-scale casino environment
  • Experience developing and mentoring team members in compliance-driven operations
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Exposure to secondhand smoke and loud noise typical of casino environments
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and mobility throughout the facility
  • Dexterity and coordination for handling Cage equipment and documentation
  • Requires concentration and attention to detail for extended periods
  • May involve varied schedules and extended work hours as business needs require
