Balancing these diverse perspectives requires strong communication, negotiation, and consensus-building skills. Directors must ensure that development projects align with community goals while adhering to regulatory requirements and budget constraints. Proactively engaging stakeholders through public meetings and transparent processes helps address concerns and fosters collaboration, though it can be time-consuming and complex.

Delavan Holdings

Full-time

Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement, PTO

Job description

Description:

Build the brand voice for a multi-property holding company — from resort hospitality to automotive retail.

Delavan Holdings is a diversified holding company with interests spanning automotive retail, RV dealerships, hospitality, and lifestyle brands across Wisconsin and the greater Midwest. Our portfolio includes Kunes Auto Group, Kunes RV, Lake Lawn Resort, Camp Timber-Lee, and G10 Fulfillment. We are building a centralized in-house creative function to unify brand strategy across our portfolio, and we are looking for a Creative Director to lead it.

What You'll Do

  • Own and evolve creative vision and brand standards across all Delavan Holdings properties and sub-brands
  • Lead creative development for marketing campaigns, digital presence, print collateral, signage, and experiential design
  • Translate strategic business objectives into compelling creative briefs and campaign concepts
  • Collaborate with property leaders, marketing teams, and external agencies to ensure brand consistency and quality
  • Oversee photography, video, copywriting, and design output — whether produced in-house or by agency partners
  • Manage and mentor creative staff and vendor relationships
  • Serve as the brand steward in cross-functional leadership discussions
  • Apply AI tools for production efficiency and workflow support — without sacrificing craft
Requirements:

What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years of creative leadership experience, ideally spanning hospitality, automotive, real estate, retail, or lifestyle brands
  • A portfolio demonstrating brand-building, campaign development, and multi-channel design execution
  • Experience leading agency partnerships and managing creative production budgets
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; familiarity with digital/web platforms and social media creative
  • Strong communication skills — able to present and defend creative decisions to senior leadership
  • Experience with multi-property or multi-brand organizations is a meaningful differentiator
  • Comfort operating in a lean, entrepreneurial environment where you are both strategist and maker
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Why Delavan Holdings

  • Rare in-house opportunity to build a creative function from the ground up across a diverse brand portfolio
  • Direct access to senior leadership and real ownership over brand direction
  • Work that spans hospitality, automotive, outdoor recreation, and lifestyle — no two projects are the same
  • Collaborative, entrepreneurial culture that values craft and moves fast
  • Based in the Lake Geneva region of Wisconsin — quality of life, community, and environment that is hard to match
  • Competitive compensation and benefits package including health, dental, vision, PTO, and 401(k)
