What is a Community Board?

A Community Board is a local advisory group that represents residents within a specific geographic area, often within a city or municipality. These boards typically address neighborhood concerns, review land use and zoning matters, and make recommendations to local government agencies. Members are usually appointed and serve as a liaison between the community and government, advocating for the needs and interests of residents. While Community Boards do not have legislative power, their input can significantly influence local policy and development projects.
