Job description

Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) is seeking an IT Project Manager to be a subject matter expert on SRNL Processes. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing client-facing projects, ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of services. You will coordinate between internal teams, clients, and various stakeholders to maintain project timelines, scope, and budget. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client satisfaction.

  • Project Planning & Initiation: Initiate and plan projects, review scope, create project schedules, and coordinate resources to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Client Communication & Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and resources, facilitating kickoff meetings, status updates, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Project Execution & Monitoring: Oversee project execution by managing timelines, resources, and deliverables. Ensure accurate tracking of project progress and time management.
  • Risk & Change Management: Identify and manage risks and scope changes, ensuring appropriate documentation and communication to stakeholders.
  • Project Closeout: Ensure all deliverables are completed, conduct project closeout meetings, and provide final reports/documents to internal and external stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA + 10-12 years of change management or related experience in a complex organization required; including demonstrated experience with applied knowledge of contemporary change methodologies and facilitation techniques.
  • For ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, US Citizenship is Legally Required
  • Strong leadership skills, good judgment, and ability to effectively interface with employees and leaders at all levels within the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to articulate complex issues to stakeholders, leaders, and partners.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively across functions and teams while building trusted relationships and positively influencing others.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically, identify creative solutions, and resolve conflicts.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting both SW and IT Infrastructure projects, such as SDLC, SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS.
  • Demonstrated experience with formal IT Solution Architecture Best Practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of leading through influence, building long-term relationships, and confidence in building vision, roadmaps, budgets, priorities, and objectives.
  • PMP certification
  • ITIL certification
  • ERP Experience
