The P1 Internal Communications Associate supports the delivery, coordination, and continuous improvement of internal communications for the account team. This role is ideal for an individual with strong attention to detail, creativity, and effective communication skills, eager to develop their career within a dynamic, collaborative environment.

This role sits on the Culture & Engagement (C&E) Team which maintains a bird's eye view of all lines of business on the JLL @ Capital One account to ensure we're telling the holistic story of how we create impact in a memorable way. We are responsible for upholding the culture values and behaviors chosen by our account through strategic written and visual messaging, onboarding, events, learning opportunities, and overall account administration. Our goal is to ensure each member of the account team feels engaged, included and informed so they can provide exceptional service to our client.

This is a remote position and is open to applicants from any state in the US. If you prefer an in-office or hybrid working environment, offices are in Richmond (VA), Tysons (VA), New York (NY), Plano (TX) and Chicago (IL).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop engaging written and visual content-including PowerPoint presentations, newsletters, email campaigns, SharePoint portals, and other materials-for internal initiatives and communications.
  • Draft, edit, test, and distribute internal communications such as email newsletters, announcements, case studies, one-pagers, and updates specific to the client account, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in all deliverables.
  • Assist in facilitating messaging and employee engagement on Slack and similar collaboration platforms, actively supporting events and activities that creatively connect and inform the account team.
  • Assist with coordination of account-related events, including large-scale events, town halls, vendor coordination, and employee engagement activities.
  • Participate in and communicate account-wide culture initiatives to foster a vibrant and inclusive working environment.
  • Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships throughout the broader team by collaborating with account teams to gather information and develop tailored messaging for various internal audiences.
  • Manage and update the internal SharePoint site, producing presentations and supporting materials for internal meetings and initiatives as needed.
  • Monitor feedback and engagement metrics to evaluate communication effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Provide administrative support for communications projects, including scheduling, document management, and reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • 0-2 years of relevant professional experience (internships or volunteer experience within communications or client services acceptable).
  • Proficient in Google Workspace (Surveys, Chat, Drive, Docs, Sheets, and more).
  • Strong design proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs (Forms, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook).
  • Well-honed verbal, written, editing and listening skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Familiarity with internal communications and employee engagement concepts.
  • Mindful attention to detail and a love for digging into data to pull out its story.
  • Strong people skills with an elevated level of emotional intelligence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with digital communication tools (SharePoint, Zoom, Slack, email platforms such as Poppulo).
  • Experience with Adobe Suite a plus.
  • Prior experience supporting internal communications within an account or client-focused environment.
  • Knowledge of best practices for engaging distributed or remote teams.

Estimated compensation for this position:

55,300.00 - 60,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
