What we need:
We're looking for a Benefits Communications Specialist to lead the development and execution of communications that bring Mohawk's comprehensive benefits and wellness offerings to life for employees and candidates.
This role combines content creation with communications strategy, requiring an organized storyteller who can translate complex benefits information into meaningful employee experiences. The Benefits Communications Specialist will ensure the right messages reach the right audiences at the right time, driving awareness, engagement, and informed decision-making while supporting Mohawk's people strategy and business objectives.
What you'll do:
• Develop and execute strategic communication plans that promote awareness, understanding, and utilization of Mohawk's benefits, health plans, and wellness programs.
• Create clear, engaging, and audience-focused content across multiple channels, including email, intranet, digital signage, presentations, events, videos, guides, and enrollment materials.
• Partner with Benefits, Employee Communications, Human Resources, vendors, and other stakeholders to identify communication needs, align messaging, and support key business and people initiatives.
• Support and/or lead communication campaigns for specific events, including annual open enrollment, new hire onboarding, wellness initiatives, benefits program launches, etc.
• Support the continuous improvement of benefits communications by gathering feedback, monitoring engagement metrics, and recommending enhancements to content, channels, and communication approaches.
• Maintain a consistent voice, brand, and employee experience across all benefits-related communications.
• Manage project timelines, communication calendars, and deliverables to ensure timely and accurate execution of campaigns and initiatives.
• Stay current on benefits trends, communication best practices, and employee engagement strategies to continuously improve the effectiveness of communications.
What you have:
• Bachelor's Degree in related field required
• 3-5+ years in communications-related field, including corporate communications, journalism, marketing, agency or similar
• 2+ years' experience in an employee benefits-related role strongly preferred
What you're good at:
• Communicating effectively with a wide range of individuals in written, oral and interpersonal form
• Staying organized and paying attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Maintaining technical proficiency with the software, equipment and web-based tools necessary to leverage all available channels in support of employee communication
