Job description

Position Summary: Provide strategic and technical expertise for Global Communication activities, with an emphasis on Information Technology (IT).
How you will make an impact:
  • Partner with the Director, Global Communications, as well as IT leaders, project managers, and technical subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop and execute comprehensive communication plans for broad initiatives and projects.
  • Create and manage a wide range of communication collateral, including email campaigns, presentations, intranet content, newsletters, videos, internal social posts, and FAQs.
  • Select and leverage appropriate communication channels (e.g., broadcast communications, collaboration platforms, town halls) to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners, as needed to ensure communication plans and materials are developed and managed appropriately.
  • Support and maintain intranet content, ensuring information is current, accurate, and aligned with global communications standards.
  • Lead communications for internal company initiatives, including employee culture spotlights and success stories, patient stories, system upgrades, deployments, and information security efforts-driving clarity, adoption, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Research and apply emerging communication trends, tools, and best practices to enhance engagement and communications strategy.
  • Plan and lead execution of corporate events, including content development and coordination with internal stakeholders, vendors, and external partners.
  • Develop ad-hoc communications to address evolving business needs and time-sensitive priorities
  • Navigate complex stakeholder environments, anticipate risks, and proactively address challenges to ensure successful communications.
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and delivering high-quality communications within tight timelines.

Given the collaborative nature of this work, this is an in-person position based full-time in Irvine, CA.
What you will need (required):
  • Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Communications and/or Marketing or equivalent work experience based on Edwards criteria required
  • Experience with a matrixed company or organization or equivalent work experience based on Edwards criteria preferred

  • Experience turning complex information into clear, concise, and compelling content
  • Proven successful project management skills
  • Proficient in Co-Pilot, MS365 Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
  • Extensive knowledge of own area within the organization while contributing to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards
  • Excellent understanding of related aspects of communications processes and the basics of organizational change management
  • Understanding of Edwards business, policies, current practice in communications
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Consult in project setting within specific sections of communications area

For California (CA), the base pay range for this position is $105,000 to $148,000 (highly experienced).
