The Marketing & Communications Specialist is responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing internal and external communication initiatives that strengthen Rovensa Next's brand, support business objectives, and engage key audiences. This role creates compelling content across multiple channels, manages social media activities, supports employee communications, and helps ensure consistent messaging throughout North America and in alignment with global communications efforts.
The Marketing & Communications Specialist collaborates closely with Marketing, Sales, Technical, Human Resources, and Leadership teams to support brand awareness, employee engagement, customer communication, and corporate storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
Internal Communications
  • Support the development and execution of internal communication initiatives that inform, engage, and align employees with company priorities and objectives.
  • Create and distribute employee communications, leadership announcements, company updates, newsletters, and internal campaigns.
  • Assist in maintaining content for internal communication platforms, including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and other digital channels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate organizational initiatives, events, and achievements.
  • Support change management communications for organizational initiatives and strategic projects.
  • Contribute to employee engagement initiatives through recognition programs, storytelling, and culture-focused communications.
  • Help ensure consistency in messaging across North America while aligning with global communications standards.

External Communications
  • Assist in implementing communication plans that support corporate, marketing, and business objectives.
  • Draft and edit press releases, media statements, blog articles, customer communications, and other marketing content.
  • Support media relations activities and coordinate responses to media inquiries as directed.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, agencies, and freelancers supporting communication and creative projects.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all external communications and marketing materials.

Social Media Management
  • Manage day-to-day social media activities across platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, and emerging channels.
  • Create engaging social media content that supports brand awareness, audience engagement, and business objectives.
  • Maintain and update social media editorial calendars.
  • Monitor social media channels and engage with audiences in a professional and timely manner.
  • Track, analyze, and report on social media performance metrics and recommend improvements.
  • Stay current with digital marketing trends, platform updates, and best practices.

Content Development and Brand Support
  • Create written, visual, and digital content that aligns with company brand standards and messaging.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of brand voice and messaging guidelines.
  • Support integrated marketing campaigns and communication initiatives in partnership with Sales, Marketing, Human Resources, and Leadership teams.
  • Assist with corporate events, employee events, trade shows, conferences, and presentations through communication planning and promotional activities.

Travel
  • Travel required includes ~10% overnight travel.

Education and Experience
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, communications, public relations, social media management, or a related role.
  • Demonstrated experience creating content for multiple communication channels and audiences.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred
  • Experience with social media management and analytics platforms such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and website content management systems.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or other design and content creation tools.
  • Experience supporting employee communications and engagement initiatives.
