Title: Project Coordinator

Overview:
Global Power Components is seeking a detail-oriented and execution-focused Project Coordinator to support Senior Project Managers in delivering complex, engineer-to-order (ETO) manufacturing projects. This role plays a critical part in bridging project management, production, and quality assurance, with a strong emphasis on end-of-line inspection readiness, real-time project visibility, and cross-functional coordination. The position enables Project Managers to focus on customer alignment, scheduling strategy, and risk mitigation by ensuring accurate data, organized workflows, and consistent communication across multiple facilities.
Purpose of the Role:
To improve project execution outcomes by owning day-to-day workflow coordination, documentation readiness, and real-time production visibility, while providing a structured development path for employees seeking experience in project management, operations, and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain and upload completion documentation.
Submit and/or coordinate end-of-line paperwork prior to shipment
Verify:
  • Customer supplied material completeness/accuracy
  • Equipment labeling and documentation (communication only)
  • Maintain and upload standard inspection checklists across facilities
2. Cross-Functional Communication Support
  • Collect and consolidate updates ahead of project meetings
  • Track action items and ensure follow-through across teams
  • Support alignment between engineering, supply chain, and production
3. Cross-Facility Coordination
Support project execution across multiple buildings or production areas
Ensure consistent communication between:
  • Production, Purchasing, Engineering, Project Management
  • Act as a central point for collecting and distributing project updates
4. Shop Floor Engagement & Reporting
  • Conduct routine production floor walks to gather real-time updates
  • Capture and report:
  • Percent complete by project or status reports
  • Bottlenecks and delays
  • Quality risks or rework issues
  • Provide actionable insights to Project Managers
5. Material & Risk Visibility
  • Track customer supplied material
  • Identify risks impacting delivery timelines
  • Escalate critical issues early to support proactive decision-making
6. Project Execution Support
  • Maintain real-time project status updates through daily coordination with production teams
  • Assist Project Managers with: material tracking and shortages, job progress visibility, schedule status updates

Qualifications:
Required
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective communication across multiple teams and functions
  • Ability to read drawings and understand BOMs at a basic level
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial equipment
  • Familiarity with project management tools (Smartsheet, Excel, etc.)
  • Interest in project management, operations, or production workflows
