We are seeking a Marketing & Communications Manager to lead the development and delivery of clear, high-impact communications within a sell-side asset management environment. This role is best suited to an experienced marketing and communications professional who has directly worked in sell-side investment or asset management settings, and who understands how to translate complex portfolio, fund, and performance concepts into clear, compelling narratives for institutional investors. The role also requires a strong interest in using data, technology, and AI to improve how communications are created, scaled, and delivered.Role overview

The Manager, Marketing and Communications is responsible for shaping how investment strategies, portfolio performance, and impact outcomes are communicated to institutional clients, limited partners, and the broader market. This is a senior role requiring proven experience in sell-side asset management marketing or investor communications, where accuracy, clarity, and credibility with sophisticated investor audiences are essential.

You will operate as both a strategic lead and hands-on contributor, owning key deliverables while setting standards for quality and consistency across the function. You will also oversee a Senior Associate and work closely with portfolio management, impact, and business development teams.

A key focus of the role is the ongoing evolution of communications capabilities through marketing technology, automation, and AI-enabled workflows, ensuring communications are efficient, data-informed, and scalable while maintaining high standards of compliance and brand integrity.

Key responsibilitiesLeadership and oversight

Qualifications

Applicants must demonstrate the following experience and capabilities:

  • Minimum seven years of experience in marketing and/or communications within sell-side asset management, investment management, or financial services
  • Direct experience producing investor-facing communications in a sell-side asset management context, including fund reporting, pitch materials, and product marketing content
  • Experience leading communications functions and managing or mentoring team members
  • Strong understanding of institutional investing and investor communications expectations
  • Proven ability to translate complex financial, portfolio, and impact concepts into clear, compelling narratives
  • Experience developing and executing marketing strategies for investment products in sell-side environments
  • Familiarity with marketing technology platforms (CRM, CMS, marketing automation tools), web platforms such as WordPress, and analytics tools
  • Interest or experience in applying AI tools, including generative AI and agentic workflows, to communications and marketing
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform decisions and improve performance
  • Experience working with technical teams, data systems, or performance dashboards
  • Strong design and visual communication capability
  • Web and digital marketing experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; French is an asset
  • Eligibility to work in Canada without restrictions
