WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Title: Associate, Communications

Our ideal candidate has a passion for communications and enjoys delving into complex issues that require strategic thinking, and problem solving. In addition, has a good understanding of communications tools and best practices and is looking to grow their career in a fast-paced consulting environment. 
As part of the Communications team, you will play an active role in supporting the development and execution of strategic communications campaigns for a diverse portfolio of clients. You will help shape messaging, manage elements of communications programs, and contribute to strategic advice provided to clients.
KEY EXPERIENCE:
  • 1–2 years of work experience in a communications role; agency experience is preferred
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Experience supporting the development and execution of strategic communications plans involving owned, earned, shared, and paid media
  • Experience supporting projects, coordinating deliverables, and ensuring internal and external deadlines are met
  • Proven understanding of the Canadian news media landscape, including print, broadcast, and digital outlets
  • Experience using shared media platforms, including Instagram, X, and TikTok, as part of communications strategies
CORE COMPETENCIES:
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with superior attention to detail and the ability to translate complex subjects and issues into clear, concise materials tailored to specific audiences
  • Strong critical and strategic thinking skills, with an aptitude for problem solving
  • Professional client service skills, including the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and vendors
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to organize work, coordinate projects, set priorities, and manage multiple assignments with appropriate support
