Job description

Title: Medical Assistant- MA

Location: Colton, CA

Pay Rate: $28 - $32 per hour

Employment Types: Full Time

Full-Time Schedule and Availability: Four 10 hour shifts per week. Must be able to work at least 1 weekend day per week.

Position Overview:

  • You will be providing DocGo services in Greater Los Angeles by monitoring and providing directed treatment common to complex injuries and illnesses.
  • Each day, you will drive to patients' homes to provide patient care.
  • While at a patient's home, engage in guided assessments and provide treatment under the supervision of an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for patients facing barriers to accessing the traditional healthcare system
  • Throughout the treatment process, maintain patient medical records and documentation consistent with state regulations, DocGo standards, and policy through our EMR system
  • You will be practicing under direction with synchronous telemedicine support

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a conduit for the medical treatment of the Health Plan Partnerships patient population
  • Navigate conversations related to management of health, well-being, medication management, and goals of care
  • Provide supervised, directed treatment of common medical diagnoses
  • Participate in continuing education as required by the state where you reside and the DocGo training team
  • Adhere to clinical and safety standards, protocols, and performance metrics
  • Provide care with cultural sensitivity and compassion
  • Lead your practice with a patient-centered approach
  • Other related duties as deemed necessary

Qualifications:

  • Must have one of the following certifications: MA, CMA, CCMA, or RMA. (Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, or Registered Medical Assistant).
  • Valid CA Driver's License (for at least 2 years) and an acceptable driving record
  • Must have minimum 2 years of recent in-person experience as a MA, CMA, CCMA, or RMA in an Urgent Care, Primary Care, or related setting
  • Phlebotomy experience
  • Active and current American Heart Association BLS
  • Ability to lift & carry 30-40lbs in a backpack style equipment bag
  • Clinical work experience with pediatrics, preferred
  • Fluent bilingual English/Spanish, preferred
