Job description

Job Purpose: Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items. Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift.

Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment. Examines, stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.

May prepare kitting packages for assembly production. This job may be known as shipping, receiving, pick-packs, or stores clerks. Nature of Duties/ Responsibilities Functions as primary contact point for both, customer and internal management for all operational activities related to receiving department Works with customer and suppliers to provide accurate data and proactively follow up for receiving discrepancies resolution on a timely manner Provides operational support, always through the proper identification of training needs versus process Work Instruction/SOP Is able to certify receiving operators in the correct execution of processes and/or work instructions.

Provides continuous improvement recommendations to management Supports receiving activities as needed Responsible for receiving key process indicators Reports to area supervisor for all matters relating to conformance, inventory or materials reports as required. May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Education & Experience: At least 4 years experience in warehouse shipping and receiving environment (prior team lead experience a plus).

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Highly detail oriented with a high sense of follow up on open actions upon resolution Good communication skills to summarize problems and actions/support needed both, verbally and written Advanced PC skills, with Medium-High excel knowledge and email correspondence Previous ERP experience (Oracle preferred) Read and understand visual aids.

Ability to apply common sense, understanding to carry out simple one-or-two-step instructions. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
