Job description

Schedule:
Monday-Friday (8AM-5PM)
Primary Function:
Keep the company's outdoor grounds and surrounding property clean, attractive, and safe through routine upkeep, general maintenance, and monitoring of site conditions.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Keep the grounds around the building clean, neat, and safe.
• Handle routine upkeep: pick up litter, empty outdoor bins, remove debris, and maintain walkways, entrances, and common areas.
• Work well with teammates, follow direction, and pitch in as needed.
• Complete required training and follow all company policies, rules, and safety procedures.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Safely operate grounds maintenance tools and equipment.
• Help with seasonal tasks such as leaf removal and snow and ice control.
• Inspect outdoor areas regularly and promptly report hazards, damage, or maintenance needs.
• Report grounds issues such as dead trees, damaged landscaping, bare grass, or drainage problems.
• Share observations and concerns with management. Lawn cutting and some landscaping are handled by a third-party provider.
• Work with consistent quality, productivity, and attention to detail.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving materials, and general outdoor labor.
• Keep equipment, tools, and supplies in good condition and storage areas clean and organized.
• Support a positive team environment and the overall upkeep of company property.
Education/Background Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• One year of experience in building exterior maintenance, grounds upkeep, cleaning, or related outdoor labor is preferred.
• Valid Driver's license to operate company equipment.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Able to follow all company policies, rules, and safety standards.
• Able to safely use grounds maintenance tools and equipment.
• Able to work carefully to avoid damaging equipment, landscaping, and property.
Working Conditions:
• Work is mostly outdoors and varies with weather and season.
• Regular exposure to heat, cold, rain, and wind.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for long periods.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
