Facility/Grounds Cleaning Associate
Metro Welding Supply Corporation is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Facility/Grounds Cleaning Associate to help maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment throughout our Detroit facility and grounds.

In this role, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day cleaning and upkeep of offices, common areas, warehouse areas, and facility grounds. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, works well independently, and enjoys keeping things clean, organized, and well-maintained.
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | $19.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain offices, restrooms, the breakroom, conference room, and common areas
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize designated areas
  • Empty trash and maintain appropriate receptacles
  • Restock restroom, breakroom, and cleaning supplies as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse and facility areas
  • Keep entrances, walkways, and other designated areas clean and presentable
  • Perform general groundskeeping and outdoor cleanup to help maintain clean, safe, and well-kept exterior areas
  • Monitor cleaning supplies and notify management when additional supplies are needed
  • Follow established safety procedures and proper handling practices for cleaning products
  • Perform other facility cleaning and general upkeep duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Previous janitorial, custodial, or facility cleaning experience preferred
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to safely use standard cleaning equipment and supplies
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the workday
  • Comfortable performing both indoor and outdoor cleaning and upkeep duties
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions
