Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, align, and implement comprehensive commodity strategies to support business, operational, and customer objectives.
  • Negotiate, execute, and manage supplier commercial agreements that define the framework for all business relationships between Applied Materials and the supply base.
  • Engage in the Product Lifecycle (PLC) process to ensure supplier strategies align with product roadmaps and long-term business needs.
  • Lead new supplier introduction and supplier disengagement activities in alignment with commodity strategies and risk mitigation plans.
  • Drive resolution of systemic supply chain issues impacting quality, cost, delivery, or lead time, including collaboration with subtier suppliers when required.
  • Identify, develop, and present high-level cost reduction and value creation opportunities across the supply base.
  • Manage supplier capacity planning and readiness to support current and future demand requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers to ensure performance, transparency, and continuous improvement.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field
  • 4-7years of experience in commodity management, strategic sourcing, supplier management, or supply chain roles within a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Strong expertise in commercial agreement negotiation, cost management, and supplier relationship management.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute commodity or sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Experience managing supplier capacity planning, risk mitigation, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to interpret internal and external business challenges and apply best practices to improve processes, products, or services.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to lead resolution of complex, crossfunctional issues.
  • Effective leadership and influencing skills, including the ability to lead projects and work crossfunctionally without direct authority.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts and influence diverse stakeholders.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
