Join our Toyota Material Handling North America Procurement Team as a Commodity Manager
The Role:
We're seeking a passionate and dedicated Commodity Manager who brings strong decision-making and expertise to the table. In this role, you'll audit, source, review costs, and visit suppliers while collaborating with a dynamic, diverse team to achieve shared goals. What You'll Be Doing:
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and select sources that demonstrate market segment leadership and increase value to our organization
  • Create, maintain, and execute procurement commodity strategies for the assigned categories
  • Improve quality and delivery by leading supplier selection and developing improvement plans through monitoring supplier performance regularly and leading key initiatives
  • Develop, distribute, and analyze RFPs/RFQs and collect proposals to support competitive sourcing decisions.
  • Lead negotiations and assist with contract management.
  • Eliminate supply chain risk by addressing concerns and supporting internal stakeholders in the event of imminent supply risk.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the procurement function and across the supply chain.
  • Collaborate in Toyota Material Handling Group (TMHG) initiatives that promote global synergy.

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • Proficient with MS Office applications and highly skilled in Excel
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Must be able to problem solve and handle multiple tasks effectively
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Demonstrated ability to lead commodity strategy development autonomously basely on objective and subjective criteria

What Sets You Apart:
  • CSPM or APICS certification is a plus
  • Results oriented and strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at any level

Where and When You'll Work:
  • This is an in-person role located at either our Greene, NY or Columbus, IN offices-ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.
  • Travel: up to 25-30% (domestic and international)

What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package will look like:
Salary - $70,000 - $105,000 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate's education and experience.
