The CFO provides financial leadership by directing the fiscal functions of the company including financial management, tax planning, and enterprise risk management in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and other regulatory and advisory organizations and in accordance with financial management techniques and practices appropriate within the industry. In tandem with the CEO and the Senior Management Team, the CFO plays a key role in the evaluation of strategic initiatives and seeks to foster ethical and responsible decision-making processes, appropriate management methodologies, and world‑class corporate governance practices. Employment for this position is conditioned upon successfully passing certain pre‑employment requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Proficient in understanding of the commodity based agricultural processing and market and hedging dynamics.
  • Strong managerial ability and ability to work under the pressure of deadlines and manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail
  • Maintain strong financial controls and budget discipline, as well as safeguard the Company’s financial interests and maintain the confidence of the CEO and Board through timely, accurate and thorough reporting of financial information
  • Prior experience managing the finance functions including: accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting including corporate treasury functions, cost accounting, and manufacturing financial analysis.
  • Completion of a bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university required
  • Completion of a master's degree at an accredited college or university or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to details
  • Previous people management skills and overall business managerial skills
  • Must have up to date knowledge of current financial and accounting computer software applications
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in English
