About the Role

Global X Management Company LLC (โ€œGlobal Xโ€) is seeking an AVP, Research Analyst to join the Research Team with a focus on energy and commodities ETFs. The role is responsible for producing client-facing research, supporting product development, and communicating market insights to clients, prospects, media, and internal stakeholders. Coverage includes ETFs focused on master limited partnerships (MLPs), uranium, liquefied natural gas (LNG), precious metals, and other commodity-related investment strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain research for the Global X research library, including written reports, presentations, charts, videos, and other client-facing content.

  • Monitor commodity markets and macroeconomic developments to produce timely commentary and market updates.

  • Explain commodity market fundamentals, futures market dynamics, and ETF implementation in a clear, practical manner.

  • Develop educational content covering ETF structure, index methodologies, portfolio construction, and competitive positioning.

  • Conduct research projects supporting existing ETFs and potential new product development.

  • Collaborate with Product, Capital Markets, Investment Strategy, and Sales teams on product positioning and market analysis.

  • Respond to client and internal inquiries regarding ETF methodology, performance drivers, commodity fundamentals, and market developments.

  • Present research through webinars, client meetings, conferences, podcasts, and media interviews.

  • Support strategic initiatives across the Research team as needed.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of energy and commodity markets, including supply and demand dynamics, futures markets, and commodity investing.

  • Understanding of ETFs, index construction, and portfolio implementation.

  • Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex topics into clear, actionable insights.

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

  • Experience with Bloomberg, FactSet, or similar market data platforms.

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • High attention to detail and collaborative approach.

Qualifications:

  • 3โ€“7 years of experience in asset management, sell-side research, commodities research, portfolio management, sales and trading, investment banking, or a related field.

  • Direct experience covering commodity or energy markets is strongly preferred.

  • Series 7 and 63

  • CFA designation or progress toward the CFA preferred, but not required.

Compensation Range:

  • $163,000-173,000 plus annual bonus
