Job Summary
The Service Advisor is the key link between customers and the service department. Responsibilities include delivering outstanding service, accurately documenting concerns, recommending appropriate repairs, and ensuring smooth communication between customers and technicians. This role is essential in providing a professional, trustworthy experience in a tire and automotive service environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Greet customers warmly and document vehicle concerns accurately
  • Prepare service estimates and explain recommended repairs clearly
  • Promote tires, service packages, and special offers
  • Communicate effectively with technicians for timely, accurate service
  • Obtain customer authorization for repairs and service changes
  • Keep customers informed throughout the repair process
  • Coordinate vehicle pickup/drop-off and transportation
  • Handle invoices, payments, warranties, and service documentation
  • Maintain a clean, professional service area
  • Resolve or escalate customer concerns promptly
Core Skills & Competencies (MUST HAVE):
  • Sales Ability: Proven record of upselling and cross-selling based on customer needs
  • Automotive Knowledge: Basic knowledge of tires and automotive systems
  • Customer Service: Attentive listening, empathy, and professionalism
  • Communication: Clear, persuasive verbal and written skills
  • Negotiation & Closing: Convert inquiries into completed sales ethically
  • Time Management: Manage multiple customers and service quotes efficiently
  • Attention to Detail: Accurate documentation and billing
  • Problem-Solving: Creative solutions for customer objections
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a strong plus

Preferred Qualifications
  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable with CRM, POS, scheduling tools, and MS Office
  • Experience in an automotive shop/dealership/service center, or auto parts store
  • 1+ years of customer service or service advisor experience (tire/auto industry ideal)
  • High school diploma or GED (post-secondary in automotive or business preferred)
