Description of Responsibilities: The person performs all types of floor care maintenance which includes stripping, waxing and daily maintenance of ceramic, terrazzo, and tile flooring. Clean and maintain all carpets using various types of manual and automated cleaning processes including foam and steam extraction.

Required Experience:

  • Ability to read and interpret chemical labels and apply their applications at a level normally acquired through the completion of a High School degree or GED.
  • Must possess a valid Virginia Motor Vehicle Operator's License.
  • Must have (3) yearsโ€™ experience as a floor technician and knowledge of terrazzo flooring; stripping and refinishing, and carpet maintenance to include dry and wet carpet care cleaning

Required Skills:

  • Clean and maintain equipment to ensure good working condition and return it to the proper storage location after usage.
  • Complete all assignments as scheduled.
  • Collect and remove trash from various containers inside and outside of the Terminal and other Commission owned buildings. Dispose of trash at the designated disposal areas.
  • Maintain all types of ceiling and wall surfaces, i.e., acoustic tile, metal slat, acrylic, vinyl, carpet, etc.
