Job description

Position Title: Commercial HVAC Installer

Position Summary
Lean Synergy Solutions is seeking a Commercial HVAC Installer to support commercial HVAC installation projects in the Mechanicsburg, PA area. This role is designed for a hands-on installer with experience installing rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, heat pumps, VAV boxes, ductwork, and related equipment in commercial environments, with some light residential installation and replacement work as needed. The position requires professionalism on job sites, strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to read drawings, test systems, and help deliver clean, reliable HVAC installations.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

  • Install commercial HVAC systems including rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, heat pumps, VAV boxes, packaged units, ductless systems, and associated ductwork.
  • Perform system retrofits, equipment replacements, and new construction installations in commercial buildings.
  • Handle light residential installations and replacements as needed while maintaining the same professional standard of workmanship.
  • Read and interpret commercial blueprints, mechanical drawings, project specifications, and manufacturer documentation.
  • Test, commission, and troubleshoot installed systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable performance.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional job site at all times, following OSHA safety standards and company procedures.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to building owners, property managers, team members, and other job-site contacts.

Required Qualifications

  • Candidates should have 3+ years of hands-on commercial HVAC installation experience, preferably in commercial buildings, retrofits, replacements, and/or new construction environments.
  • A valid EPA Section 608 Certification, Type II or Universal, is required.
  • Experience with commercial HVAC equipment such as RTUs, packaged units, split systems, heat pumps, VAV boxes, ductless systems, and associated ductwork is required.
  • Candidates must be physically capable of lifting 75+ pounds, working at heights, and operating in varied conditions including rooftops, mechanical rooms, active job sites, and changing weather.
  • A valid Pennsylvania driver's license with a clean driving record, strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a safety-minded approach are required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Journeyman or apprentice license is a plus.
  • Additional manufacturer training or equipment-specific certifications are preferred.
  • Experience with commercial equipment change-outs, ductwork coordination, and project-based installation work is a plus.
