Job description

Starting Wage: $21.00 hour
The Slot Technician 1 (Slot Tech 1) is responsible for the installation, preventative maintenance and repair of slot machines and gaming equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performs preventive maintenance on all Slot Machines in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs Slot Machine issues in accordance with department policies and procedures.
  • Installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and operates IGT Advantage System.
  • Maintains proper documentation on department repair logs, shift logs, pm logs, M.E.A.L. cards, etc.
  • Monitors sign lighting and graphics reporting any deficiencies to management.
  • Maintains communication and cooperates with various departments by radio in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Communicates professionally with outside vendors to open service tickets.
  • Responds to floor calls timely and courteously.
  • Ensures all slot machines are secure.
  • Adheres to departmental and casino policy and procedures.
  • Safely and effectively operates shop tools including hand tools, soldering equipment, electronic test equipment and other equipment as required.
  • Other duties as directed by management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, Team Members may be exposed to secondhand tobacco smoke, including regular exposure for those working on the casino floor. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and can occasionally reach a high level for short periods of time.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND ELIGIBILITY
  • Minimum age requirement for this position is 21 years old.
  • Must have 6 months experience in Slots, a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to pass a Slot Technician 1 electronic test.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by TRCR's insurance agency.
  • General understanding of computer programs, including all windows applications required.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, verbally, in writing or by other acceptable means.
  • Comply with pre-employment, random and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing.
  • Receive and maintain a valid gaming license from the CTCLUSI Tribal Gaming Commission.
  • Availability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays based on the needs of the department and for special casino events.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to exchange information efficiently using an earpiece on a multichannel radio.
  • Must be able to sit, stand and/or walk for up to 10 hours.
  • Must be able to carry, reach, twist, bend and squat frequently.
  • Must regularly lift and /or move up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 150 pounds with assistance as needed.
