Clinical Magnet (part of ICON Medical Network) is partnering with a nationally recognized healthcare organization to identify an experienced Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for a full-time permanent leadership opportunity in Morgantown, West Virginia.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned acute care hospital leader to oversee hospital operations, drive strategic growth, strengthen financial performance, and lead a mission-driven team dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will bring strong executive leadership experience within an acute care hospital setting along with a passion for operational excellence, culture development, and community impact.

Job Summary
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for the overall strategic, operational, and financial leadership of the hospital. This executive leader will ensure regulatory compliance, oversee daily hospital operations, drive census and program growth, and foster a collaborative and patient-centered culture. The CEO will work closely with hospital leadership, physicians, board members, and staff to achieve organizational goals while maintaining exceptional standards of care and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide executive oversight for all hospital operations, strategic initiatives, and financial performance. 
  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies. 
  • Lead hospital growth initiatives including patient census development, community outreach, and service line expansion. 
  • Develop and maintain operational budgets, expense management strategies, and workforce planning initiatives. 
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, inclusivity, and clinical excellence. 
  • Partner with medical staff and department leaders to improve patient outcomes and organizational performance. 
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and promote a positive workplace culture. 
  • Oversee policy development, implementation, and continuous process improvement efforts. 
  • Represent the hospital within the local community and healthcare market. 

Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related healthcare field preferred. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree with equivalent executive-level hospital leadership experience may be considered. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of healthcare management experience required. 
  • Minimum of 2–3 years in a senior acute care hospital leadership role required. 
  • Recent acute care hospital leadership experience is required. 
  • Strong experience with hospital operations, budgeting, regulatory compliance, strategic planning, and program development. 
  • Demonstrated success leading teams, improving operational performance, and driving organizational growth.
