Job description

We're Looking For A: Senior Accountant

Location: Hybrid (Woodland Hills, CA)

What You'll Be Doing: We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Senior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team. This role will have a strong focus on fixed assets, royalties and commissions, prepaid expenses, cash and credit card activity, and operating expenses including computer and software and office supplies. You will be instrumental in ensuring accurate financial reporting, efficient month-end close, and scalable accounting operations that support the Company's growth and long-term goals. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about building strong, efficient, and compliant accounting practices.

  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, with a focus on prepaid expenses, fixed assets, royalties, treasury activity and operating expenses
  • Produce accurate, timely and compliant results within a 5-business day month-end close
  • Ensure the integrity of the fixed asset module by recording, verifying, consolidating and entering transactions in accordance with the company's asset capitalization policies
  • Analyze royalty and promotional service agreements and determine appropriate accounting treatment and maintain supporting documentation
  • Ensure all royalty and promotional service agreements are paid on timely basis each month
  • Support the prepaid expense responsibilities using the NetSuite prepaid amortization engine
  • Record all cash and credit card activity on a weekly basis
  • On a monthly basis, reconcile fixed assets, prepaid expenses, royalties and operating expense accruals
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand Management, Operations, IT, and other teams to support product launches, asset purchases and system updates
  • Identify inefficiencies in accounting processes and lead initiatives to automate, streamline and standardize procedures
  • Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for accounting workflows
  • Assist with external audits, including preparation of workpapers, schedules, and supporting documentation

Qualifications (Note: We strongly encourage you to apply even if you don't tick ALL of these boxes.):

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and proactive with problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
  • 3+ years of general ledger operations and month-end close experience
  • Strong working knowledge of NetSuite or other large ERP system
  • Advanced Excel knowledge
  • Bachelors Degree or Equivalent

  • Exposure to accounts payable automation software, preferably Tipalti (preferred)
  • Experience with Blackline close automation (preferred)
  • Understanding a multi-entity accounting and reporting organizational structure (preferred)

The base salary range is $78,800 - $105,000, plus annual & monthly KPI bonus potential.
