Job Description:

The Manager, Field Engineer, acts as our company's field leader and representative at critical and highly sensitive base and remote locations, including customer and supplier facilities.  This vital role supports hardware and software installation, as well as configuration and troubleshooting on complex integrated network systems.  The Field Engineering team supports regular, special, and integrated system test programs, including scenario-based testing, developmental testing (DT) and operational testing (OT) at company and customer locations.  The Field Engineer is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) representing customer requirements in L3Harris ForceX's Agile/Scrum software development cycle and constantly maintains ForceX's exceptional reputation through positive customer interaction.  The Manager of Field Engineer is a highly skilled and experienced individual contributor working autonomously and on complex assignments to achieve operational targets, which have moderate impact on the overall achievement of results for the team.  This person will be responsible for all people management and leadership duties. 

Essential Functions:

This FSE Manager will support the Products division in multiple roles: 

1) Provide on-site support for the installation, integration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of cUAS systems.

2) Conduct system testing, diagnostics, and repairs to ensure optimal performance.

3) Deliver comprehensive training to end-users and operators on the proper use and maintenance of cUAS equipment. 

4) Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve complex technical issues and facilitate continuous improvement of cUAS systems.                                                                                  

5) Stay current with the latest advancements in cUAS technology and best practices.6) Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, security, and operational protocols.    

 Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with cUAS technologies or similar defense/security systems.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and team members.
  • Ability to travel extensively, including potential deployment to remote or hostile environments.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and test equipment.
  • Familiarity with military standards and technical documentation.

Ability to assist in the development of test cases to properly validate software features

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 10 years prior related experience or 2-year post-Secondary/Associate's degree with 6 years of prior related experience as well as previous leadership back ground. 
  • Holder of a Department of Defense Security Clearance (or ability to obtain one) required
  • Experience with related technologies such as radar systems, electronic warfare, or surveillance systems.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience troubleshooting technical and/or software products required
  • Appropriate technology industry certifications such as CompTIA's A+/Network+/Security+/Server+, Cisco CCNA/CCDA, Microsoft MTA/MCSA, etc. strongly preferred
