Commission Realtor information

What is the difference between Commission Realtor vs Real Estate Agent?

AspectCommission RealtorReal Estate Agent
CredentialsReal estate license, brokerage affiliation, optional certificationsReal estate license, brokerage affiliation
Work EnvironmentIndependent or with brokerages, flexible hoursTypically employed by brokerages, structured hours
Employer & Industry UsageWorks independently or as part of a brokerage, common in real estate salesEmployed by brokerages, involved in property transactions

Commission Realtors and Real Estate Agents both require a real estate license and work within the real estate industry. The main difference is that Commission Realtors often operate independently and may have additional certifications, while Real Estate Agents are usually employed by brokerages with more structured roles. Both roles focus on property sales and transactions, but the Commission Realtor title emphasizes a commission-based, independent approach.

What commission do most commission realtors make?

Most commission realtors earn a commission of 5% to 6% of the property's sale price, which is typically split between the buyer's and seller's agents. The commission is often negotiable and can vary based on the market, agency policies, and the agent's experience. Realtors usually receive their earnings after the sale is completed and the commission is paid by the seller.

Job description

Licensed Utah Realtors

$96,000 Base Salary + Commissions | Potential $600,000+ Annual Compensation

Job Overview

We are seeking five (5) highly motivated, self-starting Utah-licensed Realtors who want the opportunity to significantly increase their existing business — potentially up to 3X+.

If you are a polished, professional residential and/or commercial real estate agent with a strong sales background, we want to hear from you.

This opportunity is structured to allow qualified candidates to continue operating their own real estate business while working with our company.

We are looking for individuals who review the compensation structure below and think:

“I could do that with my eyes closed.”

Who We Are

We are a Utah-based solar sales, installation, and land development start-up developing a unique business model that combines real estate, solar, land ownership, energy infrastructure, and environmental development.

If you thought the solar sales and installation business had died, we can assure you — it has NOT.

Our company is positioned to help re-ignite the solar sales industry’s barely dripping sales faucet and turn it into a firehose.

Our business model combines:

  • Residential and commercial solar installation sales
  • Residential home sales that include solar
  • Revenue-producing agricultural land opportunities
  • High-quality ranches and ranchlands
  • Development associated with Data/AI Storage Centers
  • Large-scale national environmental restoration projects

Sound too good to be true?

We understand the question and look forward to sharing the details with qualified candidates.

Qualifications

  • Current Utah State Real Estate License required
  • Minimum 5+ years of real estate experience
  • Residential and/or commercial real estate experience
  • Strong sales, prospecting, relationship-building, and closing skills
  • Highly motivated and self-directed
  • Professional communication and presentation skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced start-up environment

Compensation

Base Salary

$96,000 annually / $8,000 per month

PLUS significant commissions and incentives.

Potential total annual compensation: $600,000+

Qualification for the ongoing base salary requires successful completion of the Company's initial production and training requirements.

Initial 60- to 90-Day Qualification Period

During the initial 60 to 90 days, candidates will participate in training, business development, sales, and closing activities.

To qualify for the ongoing $8,000-per-month base salary, the initial production target is:

17 Closings Within 90 Days

Based upon an average transaction value of approximately:

$45,000 per closing

Total initial production target:

17 Closings × $45,000 = $765,000

Commission Structure

First 5 Closings

Average transaction value:

$45,000

Commission:

10%

5 Closings × $45,000 = $225,000 in sales

Commission Earned: $22,500

Next 12 Closings

Average transaction value:

$45,000

Commission:

5%

12 Closings × $45,000 = $540,000 in sales

Commission Earned: $27,000

Continuing Monthly Commissions

After the initial qualification period:

8% commission on the first five (5) closings per month

Based upon five closings averaging $45,000 each:

5 × $45,000 = $225,000 in monthly sales

Potential Commission: $18,000

Meeting this monthly production level also satisfies the ongoing production requirement associated with the $8,000-per-month base salary.

Additional Annual Commissions

Thereafter:

3% Commission on the next $5.4 million in annual sales

High-Performance Incentive

For qualifying annual sales above $5.4 million:

5% Commission

Additional Incentives

Qualified team members may also be eligible for:

  • Ground-floor participation
  • Profit sharing
  • Stock options
  • Employee benefits
  • New vehicle performance incentives
  • Travel incentives
  • Additional performance bonuses
  • Leadership and advancement opportunities

Who We Are Looking For

This is not intended to be another traditional real estate position.

We are seeking Realtors who are:

Hungry. Motivated. Professional. Entrepreneurial. And able to close.

We want individuals who can look at an opportunity, understand the numbers, recognize the potential, and execute.

If you already have an established real estate business, this opportunity is designed to complement — rather than necessarily replace — what you are already doing.

If you believe you can meet or exceed the production requirements outlined above and want to participate in a ground-floor Utah-based start-up with substantial growth potential, we want to hear from you.

Apply Today

Please submit your resume and a brief summary of your:

  • Real estate experience
  • Current Utah licensing status
  • Residential and/or commercial sales background
  • Average annual transaction volume
  • Sales and business-development experience

Qualified candidates will be contacted regarding the next step in the interview process.
