Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Cardiovascular Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring RCIS and/or ARRT certification and pediatric congenital case experience.

Details
  • Pediatric Cath Lab/EP setting at a Level II pediatric trauma center with 82 total beds and 1 combined Cath/EP Lab
  • Pediatric congenital diagnostic and interventional cases including LHC/RHC, PDA/VSD/ASD closures, septostomy, congenital structure stenting/ballooning, and collateral closure
  • Pediatric electrophysiology cases including pacemaker implants and generator exchanges, loop recorder implants/removals, and EP studies with radiofrequency ablations for SVT, WPW, atrial tach, and PVCs
  • Monitoring systems include PACS (Picom), hemodynamic monitoring (Merge), and C-arm (Siemens Artis)
  • EMR: Epic Cupid (experience preferred)
  • 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM โ€“ 5:30 PM
  • No floating required
  • On-call rotation of 7 call shifts per 3-week rotation, including weekends; weekday call runs end of shift to 7:00 AM the following day; weekend call runs end of shift Friday to 7:00 AM Monday
  • Weekend coverage is call only, approximately 1โ€“2 weekends per month (roughly every 3rd week)
  • 45-minute response time required for call; no sleep room available
  • Holiday coverage is call only, included in the department call rotation
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of cardiovascular technologist experience; prior pediatric cath lab experience preferred
  • Current BLS and PALS certifications required
  • RCIS and/or ARRT certification required
  • Current WA state Rad Tech and/or CISC license required (license required if applicable)
  • Experience as a circulator and with patient monitoring in congenital and EP cases
  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
  • Two professional references from a supervisor or above (charge nurse, manager, director, etc.) required prior to start; one reference accepted at time of consideration
Additional Information
  • Role involves circulating and patient monitoring for pediatric congenital and EP procedures; sedation is managed by Anesthesia
  • Scrubs and lead are provided by the facility; extended sizing is available for scrubs but not for lead aprons
