Becoming a commission notary signing agent typically involves completing a state-specific application process, passing a background check, and obtaining a notary commission, which can take from a few weeks to a couple of months. Additional training or certification in loan signing may be required or recommended to start working as a signing agent promptly.

Is a commission notary signing agent a good career?

A commission notary signing agent is a professional who facilitates loan signings and notarizations, often working independently with flexible hours. The role requires certification, knowledge of legal documents, and attention to detail, with income typically based on per-transaction commissions. It can be a viable career for those seeking self-employment and flexible schedules, but income stability varies based on workload and market demand.
