WHO YOU ARE:
A creative, professional trainer who understands how to deliver training to an adult audience in person or virtually and who would be excited to join a team which specializes in developing and supporting Unemployment Insurance Division staff dedicated to providing the highest level of quality customer service.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Training and Development Specialist III performs complex (journey-level) training work. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO:
- Coordinate, conduct, facilitate, and moderate classroom, virtual, and blended training sessions on the job skills required to conduct employer tax audits, employer account maintenance, answer inquiries about the TxUS (Texas Unemployment System)
- Design and develop formal, complex curricula using approved guidelines and processes.
- Identify, coordinate, plan, and develop training strategies to address training needs of UI Tax staff (state Office Tax and Field Tax)
- Assist with collecting and compiling data and preparing proposals, briefings, reports, training materials, and project timelines.
- Research, develop, review, and assess job skills training programs and materials for UI Tax staff and
recommend modifications.
- Build and maintain communication and working relationships with administrative and program staff, and coworkers to accomplish division goals and objectives.
- Serve as a resource and consultant with management and promote the use of training services.
- Work on special projects and other assignments assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

YOU QUALIFY WITH:
- Two years of experience in positions that provided knowledge of training methods, techniques, and materials as related to individual development, education, and training programs; or in positions that provided knowledge of agency operation or programs which included giving group presentations.
-Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications for this position.
-One year of full-time in-service TWC experience classified as a Training Specialist II with regular status will satisfy the minimum qualifications.
YOU ARE A GREAT FIT WITH:
- Experience in delivering instructor-led classroom and virtual training to adult learners.
- Knowledge in developing curricula and effective training assessment plans.
- Ability to quickly learn new programs and processes.
- Must have at least two years' experience as a Tax Accounts Examiner. 
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- Knowledge of the UI Tax program, to include TUCA.
- Extensive Knowledge of TxUS (Texas Unemployment System) 
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams; COMPAS audit program.
- Bilingual; English/Spanish
