Salary: $55k - $105k

Monarch Manufacturing, Inc. is a family-owned and operated cabinetry business based in Sullivan, Illinois. Our goal is to give our customers the highest quality cabinetry at an affordable price. Monarch Manufacturing, Inc.s Showroom Departments Manager/Kitchen Designers are responsible for assisting our customers with their cabinetry needs.


RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES:


  • Work with clients to determine initial goals and requirements for the products to be designed.

  • Prepare sketches or other visual aids to demonstrate preliminary designs to clients.

  • Consult with clients to select materials and finishes for the final product.

  • Use design applications to prepare and illustrate final plans.

  • Determine timelines and project costs and present accurate estimates to clients.

  • Ensure client satisfaction by visiting the project on completion with the client; resolve any complaints or concerns.

  • Maintain a current knowledge of trends and products in the cabinet industry.

  • Place orders with manufacturing.

  • Dedication to keeping a clean and well-stocked working environment.

  • Complete other duties as assigned.

  • Assessing the accuracy, neatness, consistency, and thoroughness of the work assigned.

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Measuring skills on a tape measure to the nearest 1/16th of an inch.

  • Basic mathematical understanding.

  • Listening and communication skills.
  • Teamwork.
  • Punctuality.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Required:


  • At least one year of related experience.

Preferred:


  • Bachelors degree in interior design or related field.

  • Coursework in computer-aided design (CAD) - 2020 Design software experience

  • Interior design certification.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:


  • Remain standing/sitting in a stationary position for prolonged periods on an occasional basis.

  • Moving about accomplishing tasks or moving from one workstation to another on an occasional basis.

  • Adjusting or moving objects of varying weights in all directions.

    • Occasional movement of objects up to 20 pounds.

  • Constant repeated motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

  • Constantly communicating with others to exchange information.

  • Operating motor vehicles on an occasional basis.


ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:


  • Occasional exposure to noisy environments.

JOB LOCATION:

Springfield, Illinois.

PAY SCALE:

$55k to $105k a year.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Weekends by appointment.
