Job description

Cath Lab Technologist / Interventional Radiology (IR) Tech

Work location: Texas Health Southwest Fort Worth: 6100 Harris Pkwy, Ft. Worth, TX 76132
Work hours: Full-time (40 hours/week), 4 (10-hr) shifts, day shift. Call (must live within 30 minutes of hospital for call), weekend and holiday requirements.
Department highlights:
Our experienced and compassionate team in Cardiac Cath / IR Lab care for patients with Cardiac, Peripheral Vascular or Electrophysiology related disease. Additionally, we offer Interventional Radiology procedures such as vascular access, biliary and urinary interventions, and venous and arterial thrombectomy. For our clinical staff, we require a 30-minute call response time which included STEMI call.
We are a Magnet designated facility, Joint Commission certified in chest pain, heart failure and stroke, certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular & Pulmonary Rehabilitation and Texas Ten Step Member Mother Friendly Worksite.
Here's What You Need:
Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent with two (2) years' work experience in invasive cardiology required
• Associate Degree in Applied Science preferred.
• Completion of an accredited program in radiologic or cardiovascular technology (Must obtain RCIS within six (6) months) required
• CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
Experience:
• One (1) experience as radiologic technologist preferred or 1 Year Exp as cardiovascular invasive specialist preferred.
• Two (2) years' experience required in lieu of degree with high school diploma
• Two (2) years Cath Lab experience strongly preferred
Licensure and Certifications:
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire required
• RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (Obtain within 6 months if graduate from Cardiovascular Accredited Program) upon hire required
• GMRT-General Medical Radiologic Technologist (if ARRT only) upon hire preferred
• LMRT - Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (if RCIS only) upon hire preferred
• RCES - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (For Electrophysiology Labs (EP) only) upon hire required
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly) required
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Within ninety (90) days of hire) required

Texas Health Interventional Radiology Technologists are responsible for assessing and recognizing the patient's emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive and psychosocial conditions.
