The Lead Material Handler directs daily shipping dock operations and coordinates team workflows. This role ensures the safe, accurate, and timely shipping and receiving of customer electronic equipment. You will monitor performance metrics, resolve operational hurdles, utilize warehouse management systems, and occasionally drive a company vehicle for local deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Direct daily work activities of shipping dock personnel.
  • Operations: Handle shipping and receiving of sensitive electronic equipment.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor dock KPIs to meet daily throughput goals.
  • System Processing: Use computers and logistics software to process shipments.
  • Problem Solving: Resolve inventory discrepancies, shipping errors, and logistics delays.
  • Transportation: Drive a company delivery vehicle on occasion for local runs.
