SENIOR ACCOUNTANT(OnSite Controller)

Compensation: $95,000-$100,000 Annual Salary (DOE)

Experience Required: 3+ Years of Accounting Experience

Schmidt Roofing is one of Minnesota's premier residential roofing companies, committed to delivering exceptional craftsmanship and customer service. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Burnsville team.

This position works closely with the Controller and CFO while partnering with Operations, Production, and Sales to ensure accurate financial reporting, job costing, and a timely month-end close.

What You'll Do

Construction Accounting

Perform job costing for residential roofing projects.

Track project costs and profitability.

Process vendor and independent contractor payments accurately and on time.

Maintain vendor and independent contractor records and supporting documentation.


Top 5 Must-Haves

3+ years of Accounting experience.

MUST HAVE Monthly Financial Close experience.

MUST HAVE Job Costing experience.

MUST HAVE Roofing, Construction, or other Home Services Trade experience.

Advanced QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel skills.


Qualifications & Experience

3+ years of Accounting experience.

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.

Advanced QuickBooks Online experience.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.

Experience with General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Experience processing vendor and commission-based independent contractor payments is helpful.

Experience supporting audits and implementing internal controls.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.
