Job description

Day and Zimmermann is hiring a Nuclear Site FFD & Access Representative to sit onsite in Waterford, CT to support the Fall Outage.
This Nuclear Site FFD & Access Representative - Millstone position is primarily an administrative, security, and regulatory compliance role supporting nuclear plant access authorization and Fitness for Duty (FFD) requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Process access authorization paperwork for employees and contractors.
  • Perform applicant fingerprinting and submit fingerprints to Corporate Security and the NRC.
  • Process payments and maintain accurate records related to fingerprint submissions.
  • Grant, modify, and terminate plant access and Owner Controlled Area (OCA) access as required.
  • Issue badges and ensure all regulatory and security requirements are met before granting access.
  • Maintain compliance with Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and company security procedures.
  • Become qualified as an FFD collector and support the Nuclear FFD Program.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience handling confidential or sensitive information.
  • Computer proficiency and data-tracking experience.
  • Ability to strictly follow procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • A background that would support obtaining and maintaining nuclear unescorted access authorization.
  • Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing, including marijuana/THC screening.

Education
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Additional education or relevant experience may be considered in lieu of higher education credentials.

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $30,000 - $50,000 max. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
