Overview

Seeking IBM i / AS400 / RPG expertise, with deep hands-on technical knowledge and experience, who can independently work in complex legacy environments. High-performing professional who knows IBM I and RPG inside and out, and enjoys solving problems in legacy environments. Candidates should be proactive, accountable, and motivated to improve systems and development practices. Experience leveraging AI tools to improve development efficiency and analyze legacy RPG code.

Key Requirements

  • 10+ years IBM i / AS400 / RPG development experience
  • Strong expertise in RPG III / RPG IV / RPGLE (Free Format), CL / CLLE and DB2 for i / SQL
  • Ability to analyze, maintain, and enhance complex legacy RPG applications
  • ILE RPG / Activation Groups / ILE Concepts
  • Service Programs (SRVPGM), Binder Language, Signatures, Signature Failure Resolution
  • Embedded SQL / SQLRPGLE / File Access Using SQL
  • Performance Tuning / Long-Running Batch Job Efficiency
  • IBM i APIs / REST APIs / Web Services / Web Components
