If you have experience installing, inspecting, or testing commercial or industrial HVAC systems and enjoy ensuring every project meets the highest quality standards, we want to hear from you.

We are seeking a detail-oriented HVAC Inspector / HVAC Technician to support quality inspections, functional testing, and commissioning activities on large commercial and industrial HVAC installations. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineering and quality professionals on complex mechanical systems while expanding your technical expertise.

What You'll Do

As an HVAC Inspector / HVAC Technician, you will help ensure HVAC systems are installed correctly, tested thoroughly, and commissioned in accordance with engineering specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities Include:

* Inspect HVAC equipment installations including Air Handling Units (AHUs), ductwork, exhaust systems, dampers, insulation, supports, and hangers

* Verify installations meet engineering drawings, project specifications, and SMACNA standards

* Perform visual inspections and basic dimensional verification of HVAC components

* Assist with pre commissioning and system startup activities

* Support functional testing including:
* Airflow verification
* Pressure testing
* Leak testing
* Vibration assessments

* Attend and document Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)

* Verify installation of HVAC controls including sensors, thermostats, control panels, and associated wiring

* Participate in system walkdowns and quality surveillance inspections

* Identify and report installation deficiencies and non-conformances

* Complete QA/QC documentation including:
* Inspection reports
* Punch lists
* Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)
* Checklists
* Quality records
* Equipment tagging and turnover documentation

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

* Diploma or Certificate in HVAC Technology or a related technical field

* 1 to 2 years of experience in commercial or industrial HVAC installation, service, inspection, or QA/QC

* Knowledge of HVAC equipment, ductwork, mechanical systems, and installation practices

* Ability to read engineering drawings, HVAC schematics, and duct layouts

* Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

* Ability to work safely on active construction or industrial project sites

Preferred Experience

* Commercial or industrial construction projects

* HVAC commissioning or startup activities

* Quality Control or Quality Assurance documentation

* Familiarity with SMACNA standards

* Experience supporting FAT, SAT, commissioning, or system turnover activities
