Job description

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for a civilian contractor for a Full time Registered Triage Nurse  at the Dumfries Ambulatory Care Clinic in Dumfries, VA.

This contract position offers:

  • Flex 36-40 hours - 13 hour shifts Week 1 Mon, Wed, Fri 7am-8pm EST Week 2 Tues, Thurs, 7am-8pm EST and Saturday 6am-2pm EST
  • Outpatient Setting
  • No On-Call
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, and Life Insurance
  • Opportunity to Care for our Active Duty, Retiree's and their families
  • 11 paid federal holidays (no Sundays or on-call responsibilities) 

Essential Functions:

  • Evaluating patients by conducting physical examinations or interviews.
  • Reviewing medical history and determining symptoms and severity.
  • Monitoring vital signs.
  • Initiating emergency treatment if necessary.
  • Sorting patients into priority groups.
  • Communicating patient status to doctors and nurses.
  • Providing education to patients and families.
  • Transporting patients to appropriate treatment areas.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Shall have completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university; and/or graduate of an accredited National League of Nursing (NLN) School.
  • 2+ years of RN experience preferred within last 5 years,
  • Ability to communicate effectively with injured workers employer and treating physician’s office
  • Have knowledge of computer operations and proficiency in the use of basic word processing, data entry, and automated records.
