TGH is the area's only level I trauma center and one of just two ABA-verified adult & pediatric burn centers in Florida. With five medical helicopters*, we transport critically injured or ill patients from 23 surrounding counties to receive the advanced care they need. Job Summary

We are actively recruiting an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our expanding Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology team at Tampa General Hospital (TGH). TGH boasts a high-quality, moderate-volume heart transplant program and a well-established mechanical circulatory support program. The APP on the Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology team will work closely with the on-call attending Physician on a nightly basis. Primary responsibilities will include new patient evaluation and admission, follow-up care for admitted inpatients including ICU patients with mechanical circulatory support devices comprising durable left ventricular assist devices (LVAD), intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), Impella CP, 5.5, RP Flex and ECMO. Management of patients on chronic inotrope infusions as well as pre-operative and post-operative heart transplant recipients will also be required. 

PA and/or NP, with Acute Care or Gerontology certification is eligible for this role. Advanced Heart Failure, Transplant, and General Cardiology experience preferred.  Current licensure as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant in the State of Florida.
