How does compensation on a commission basis affect the workflow and priorities of a Full Stack Developer?

Working as a Commission Full Stack Developer typically means your earnings are tied directly to project completion or specific deliverables, rather than a fixed salary. This compensation structure encourages you to be highly efficient, prioritize projects with the greatest impact, and collaborate closely with clients or sales teams to understand their needs and timelines. While this can offer greater earning potential and flexibility, it also requires strong time management and self-motivation to consistently secure and deliver on new projects. You may need to balance multiple clients simultaneously and proactively communicate progress to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.

Are full stack devs still in demand?

Full stack developers remain in high demand due to their versatility in handling both front-end and back-end development, with skills in frameworks like React, Angular, and Node.js. The role is essential in many industries, and demand is expected to grow as companies prioritize agile, full-spectrum development teams.

Will AI replace full stack dev?

AI is unlikely to fully replace full stack developers, as their role requires complex problem-solving, creativity, and understanding of user needs that AI cannot replicate. Instead, AI tools can assist developers by automating repetitive tasks and enhancing productivity, allowing them to focus on more strategic aspects of development. Full stack developers who adapt by learning new technologies and integrating AI tools will remain valuable in the evolving tech landscape.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Commission Full Stack Developer, and why are they important?

In this role, you will join a fast-moving software engineering team supporting a microservice ecosystem with several user interfaces. You will work closely with the mission and interact with customers daily, helping shape software that solves real problems and delivers value quickly.
What Makes This Opportunity Stand Out
This role gives you the chance to work on a highly collaborative team where engineers are encouraged to influence system design, not simply code to a ticket. You will partner closely with the tech lead, help solve difficult design challenges, and support a product roadmap that keeps evolving with mission needs. The work blends backend development, customer interaction, testing, deployment support, and architectural thinking, so your impact is visible across the full lifecycle.
At Intelliforce, your work is seen and your ideas carry weight. Because we support prime programs, our teams stay close to meaningful mission work with real momentum. Because we are a small business, leadership is accessible, communication is direct, and strong engineering gets noticed. Add in long term stability, strong benefits, and a people first culture, and this becomes more than another software role. It is a chance to build mission software with a team that values technical input and fast execution.
Here's What Your Day-to-Day Could Include
  • Develop and maintain Java microservice web applications
  • Work closely with the tech lead on technical decisions and product roadmap priorities
  • Solve challenging software engineering and design problems
  • Interact directly with customers to resolve issues and propose new features
  • Support testing and deployment of production applications
  • Contribute to a collaborative, feature-driven development environment
  • Help shape system design across a microservice ecosystem with multiple user interfaces

Minimum Qualifications
  • Clearance: Top Secret Clearance with Polygraph, must be active. We do not have the ability to sponsor clearances
  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen. We cannot sponsor visas
  • 3 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
  • Four additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in place of a Bachelor's degree

Required Skills
  • Experience with design, debugging, and problem solving in Java
  • Experience with RESTful web applications
  • Experience with Spring Boot
  • Experience interacting with MongoDB or similar database technology
  • Experience with automated testing

Desired Skills
  • Full stack experience including UI development with JavaScript and Vue.js
  • Experience with Kafka
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Linux administration
  • Experience with automated build tools, continuous integration, and continuous deployment
Compensation Range: $110,000.00 - $141,000.00
*The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate's background and suitability for the role. Please note that this range is intended as a guideline and is subject to flexibility.
Why Intelliforce? Because you matter-your work, your growth, and your well-being.
