Senior Finance Manager - Commercial Finance

As a Senior Finance Manager - Commercial Finance, you will be at the center of driving commercial strategy, profitability, cash flow, and risk mitigation, partnering closely with Commercial leadership, Finance, and Operations.

The Senior Finance Manager - Commercial Finance serves as a trusted advisor to the Commercial Leader and the CFO, helping shape business strategy through pricing, forecasting, analytics, and disciplined financial governance.
This role requires a commercially minded finance leader who can challenge assumptions, influence senior stakeholders, and support scalable, sustainable growth.

As a Senior Finance Manager - Commercial Finance, you will be responsible for:

Driving Profitable Growth

  • Acting as a trusted finance business partner to Sales, Marketing, and Business Unit leaders

  • Providing financial insights to support gotomarket strategies, customer segmentation, and growth initiatives

  • Translating complex financial analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for executive leadership

Commercial Reporting, Planning & Forecasting

  • Leading order reporting, forecasting, pipeline analysis, and longrange planning activities

  • Owning topline performance, margin analysis, and commercial reporting

  • Developing scenario and sensitivity analyses to support investment and resource allocation decisions

Deal & Commercial Structuring

  • Partnering with commercial teams to structure deals that maximize profitability, cash flow, and minimize risk

  • Analyzing customer financials, funding sources, and credit profiles

  • Collaborating with Commercial, Treasury, and Operations teams to manage risk, including standby letters of credit and parent guarantees

  • Negotiating documentary letters of credit as required

Channel Finance Support

  • Providing financial reporting and analytics to measure channel performance and drive growth

  • Ensuring global channel compliance with Baker Hughes financial processes

  • Owning and managing the channel commission payment process

Accounts Receivable (AR) Performance

  • Driving AR performance globally including cash collection, invoicing accuracy, and credit limit management

  • Providing detailed AR reporting and analytics

  • Supporting dispute resolution, customer escalations, and collection discussions with channel partners and customers

Commercial Cost & Resource Management

  • Managing global commercial resource load and evaluating performance metrics for optimization

  • Reporting on commercial costs and resource utilization with actionable insights

Process & Capability Improvement

  • Enhancing commercial finance processes, tools, and reporting capabilities

  • Supporting systems initiatives including CFIN, ERP implementations, and integrations

  • Establishing strong financial discipline and governance across commercial decisionmaking

Lead & Develop Talent

  • Leading the Commercial Finance team with clear priorities and balanced workloads

  • Mentoring and developing finance team members to prepare them for future leadership roles

Fuel Your Passion

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Have Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

  • Have 10+ years of progressive finance experience with strong commercial finance exposure

  • Have proven experience partnering closely with Sales and/or Marketing organizations

  • Have advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills

  • Have strong ability to influence senior leaders and drive measurable business outcomes

  • Have advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency; BI tools are a plus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have MBA or CPA/CMA preferred

  • Experience in B2B, SaaS, manufacturing, or complex commercial environments

  • Background in pricing strategy, deal desk, or revenue operations

  • Global or multibusiness unit experience
