Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Epic Cadence & Referrals Analyst to join our IT healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in implementing, configuring, supporting, and optimizing the Epic Cadence module with expertise in referral management. The candidate will work closely with scheduling teams, patient access, referral coordinators, clinicians, and operational stakeholders to improve appointment scheduling, referral workflows, and patient access processes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Configure, maintain, and support the Epic Cadence application and Referrals functionality.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and operational requirements from scheduling, patient access, and referral management teams.
  • Design, build, test, validate, and deploy Epic Cadence enhancements and system changes.
  • Configure and support provider scheduling, appointment templates, patient scheduling, referral management, and work queues.
  • Support referral workflows, authorization processes, appointment coordination, and scheduling optimization.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely application support.
  • Participate in Epic implementations, upgrades, optimization initiatives, and enhancement projects.
  • Execute unit testing, integrated testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Develop and maintain build documentation, workflow diagrams, technical specifications, and support documentation.
  • Collaborate with other Epic application analysts to ensure seamless integration with Prelude, Patient Access, Resolute, MyChart, and other Epic modules.
  • Ensure all configurations comply with Epic best practices, organizational standards, and healthcare regulations.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Epic Cadence and Referrals.
  • Epic Cadence Certification is mandatory.
  • Experience in Epic build, configuration, implementation, testing, and production support.
  • Strong understanding of provider scheduling, patient appointment management, referral workflows, authorizations, and patient access processes.
  • Experience supporting integrated Epic clinical and revenue cycle applications.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Mandatory Requirements
  • Epic Cadence Certification (Mandatory)
  • 3 years of relevant Epic Cadence experience
  • Experience supporting Referrals workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience in U.S. healthcare scheduling and patient access operations.
  • Knowledge of provider scheduling, appointment management, referral coordination, insurance authorizations, and front-end revenue cycle workflows.
  • Experience integrating Epic Cadence with Prelude, Patient Access, MyChart, Resolute, and other Epic applications.
  • Understanding of Epic implementation methodology and healthcare interoperability.
  • Strong documentation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
